Computer Lab

Computer Center:- Computer center is well equipped with computing resources to cope with the academic requirements of the institute Computer labs have LAN environment with a powerful server and good numbers of nodes.
The fully air Conditioned lab consists of 320 computers along with numbers of licensed software to meet academic requirement. The campus is fully Wi-Fi having 5 Mbps speed. The internet facility is available through OFC, BSNL V-SAT & RF so that the students can download all the information on any topic in seconds. Microprocessor Lab, Computer Architecture Lab DBMS and file structure Lab & Digital Hardware Design Lab have been fully developed.

Hostel Facility

The hostel situated in the campus is equipped with all modem amenities like round the clock power and water supply, internet facility, common room with all facilities like a colour T.V., Magazines and newspapers etc. Mess facility with hygienic conditions, Sprawling dinning half and toilets and modern bathrooms in sufficient numbers have been provided for the comfort and convenience of the students.

Sports Facilities

The students of S.D. College of Engineering & Technology are provided with adequate facilities for different outdoor games and sports at the campus of SDCET which has sprawling play ground and facilities for outdoor games such as football volleyball, basketball, badminton and cricket etc. it is looked after by a regular physical education teacher.

Medical Facilities

The college provides proper care to all bonafide students at its medical and research center which has modern facilities for pathological and other tests as well as adequate private and general ward facilities, all these facilities are available to the students at subsidized rate.

Student Welfare Board

A senior faculty member is in charge of the Students Welfare Board. The meritorious students of different branches and classes are nominated the members of the board. The board suggests the measures for the improvement of the facilities for the students.

Central Library

Training and placement cells

S.D.C.E.T has an active centralized placement cell. It has a placement committee which acts as link between the efforts of the students & college authorities. Decisions relating to the Companies Visiting the campus for recruitment are broadly based upon parameters such as job descriptions, growth prospects, tracks record of the company remuneration packages and the number of students the company intends to select. Several reputed companies and organization including Indian army under UES scheme have come to campus for direct recruitment of the students, the college organizes quiz, Mock tests, group discussions mock personal interviews round the year to acclimatize the students for future placement challenges.

Scholarships/ Merit Awards:- S.D.C.E.T has always encouraged high standards of scholastic and professional achievements. Cash awards to toppers of each branch and scholarships to the deserving and poor candidates are given. Scholarship is given to SC/ST and OBC students as per the state government norms.

Extra Curricular Activities

Apart from academic pursuits of students, special care is taken for personality development and extra curricular activities such as debates, seminars, workshops , group discussions, indoor and out doors games, sports week, factory visits etc, annual cultural function is celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm which provides a forum for talents.
Every year National Seminar is conducted.

Engineering Labs

Mechanical Engineering Labs:- The Mechanical Engineering department has thermodynamics lab , Heat & Mass transfer lab, fluid mechanics lab, metrology lab and I.C. Engines lab with all the latest machines and equipments.

Physics Lab:- SDCET has a well equipped physics lab. The lab is equipped with all apparatus a for experiments of sound, heat and electricity with provision of dark room for experiments related to optics.

Chemical & Engg Lab:- Modern, up to date and advanced lab have been set up consisting of fluid mechanics, Heat transfer Lab & C RE lab.

Chemistry Lab:- The chemistry lab is well equipped with sample preparation, glassware, chemicals for titration, identification of organic compounds etc. Students are provided with standard apparatus and chemicals during the practical classes according to syllabi the lab has been set up with latest equipment necessary for physical, inorganic and analytical chemistry .
